What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit our site. It stores information about your session and preferences. Lyriot also uses the browser's local storage (localStorage) for certain preferences — a mechanism similar to cookies but not transmitted to the server, detailed in a dedicated section below.

Cookies used by Lyriot

Lyriot uses only strictly necessary cookies for the platform to function. We do not use any advertising, third-party analytics, or behavioral tracking cookies.

Local storage (localStorage)

Local storage is used to retain your preferences between visits. This data remains only on your device and is never sent to our servers.

KeyPurposeType

displayCurrencyStores your chosen display currency (EUR, USD, JPY…)Preference
localeStores your chosen interface languagePreference

Push notifications (Service Worker)

If you enable push notifications, Lyriot registers a Firebase Service Worker on your device. This allows you to receive notifications even when Lyriot is not open. No additional personal data is collected. You can disable notifications at any time from your browser settings or from Settings › Notifications.

Managing cookies

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies. However, essential cookies (session, CSRF) are required for login to work — refusing them will prevent access to your account.

To delete existing cookies and local storage data:

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions
